The
main committees of the Society are General Council, the Joint
Examination Board and the Local Branch Councils .
GENERAL
COUNCIL
This committee
is made up of elected members of each branch. The purpose of
this committee is to decide on matters relating to the general
running of the Society. Members stand for a period of
three years. To get a list of the current committee members

JOINT
EXAMINATION BOARD
The board is made up of elected members of SOLAS and The
Law Society of Scotland. The purpose of the board is to regulate
all matters pertaining to the organisation and conduct of the classes and
examinations. Board members are appointed by the respective
councils of SOLAS and The Law Society. The current membership
of this committee can be seen by clicking on the scroll on the
left.
LOCAL
BRANCH COUNCIL
This committee is made up of elected members of each branch.
The purpose of this committee is to decide on local matters
within each branch. This will include seminars on various subjects
to assist members to expand their knowledge. The current committee

left.
